VRSF Series Planetary Reducers Features
  • Quiet operation: Helical gears contribute to reduce vibration and noise.
  • High precision: Standard backlash is 5-10 arc-min, ideal for precision control.
  • High rigidity & torque: Achieved by uncaged needle roller bearings.
  • Adapter-bushing connection: Can be attached to any motor all over the world.
  • No grease leakage: Perfect solution using high viscosity anti-separation grease.
  • Maintenance-free: No need to replace the grease for the life of the unit. Can be attached in any position.
Model Option Guidelines

Before choosing a gearbox, please specify the gear ratio you need. After determining a ratio, multiply your servo motor rated torque by the ratio. The value should be in principle less than our gearbox rated output torque which can be found in the data sheets. Take other overloads which drive the motor into consideration to choose the max operating torque; this should not exceed 2 times of our gearbox rated torque. After determining the above, you can choose the smallest volume gearbox to save cost. You can send us the servo motor dimension drawing for model selection or advise the specific servo motor model number. If you have special requirements for precision, please clarify.

FAQ

FAQ support
Q1: What are the main benefits of using helical gears in the VRSF planetary reducer?
Helical gears offer a smoother and quieter operation compared to straight spur gears. They significantly reduce vibration and noise, making them ideal for environments requiring quiet operating conditions.
Q2: What is the typical backlash of the VRSF planetary reducer?
The standard backlash of our VRSF series ranges between 5 arcmin to 10 arcmin. This high-precision rating ensures accurate positioning and excellent control for demanding motion control tasks.
Q3: Can these reducers be connected to any standard motor?
Yes, thanks to the integrated adapter-bushing connection system, the VRSF series can be easily coupled with stepper motors, servo motors, and BLDC motors from standard worldwide brands.
Q4: Is any routine lubrication or maintenance required?
No. The unit uses high-viscosity anti-separation grease which is sealed for life. This eliminates the need to replace or refill grease, making it completely maintenance-free and mountable in any orientation.
Q5: How do I select the right gearbox size and ratio?
First determine the required gear ratio. Multiply your motor's rated torque by the ratio, ensuring the result is lower than the gearbox rated torque. Also consider overload cycles: the peak torque should not exceed two times the gearbox rated torque limit.
Q6: What is the Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) for an order?
Our MOQ is 1 piece, allowing you to easily purchase sample units for development, prototyping, testing, or customized single-project requirements.
